This policy explains the personal information HomeITFix collects and how it is used for home tech help requests, helper applications and payments.
Information collected
HomeITFix collects the details you submit, including your name, email, optional phone number, postcode, tech issue, notes, job chat messages, uploaded photos or screenshots, helper application details and payment-related status. Card details are handled by the payment provider; HomeITFix does not store card numbers.
How it is used
Your information is used to post help jobs, contact you about a job, review helper applications, send operational notifications, process payment status and keep basic records for platform operations and compliance.
Who can see it
Approved helpers and HomeITFix administrators may see the information needed to assess or respond to a posted job. Email and phone details are not shown to helpers by default; customers can choose to share contact details inside the job chat. Personal information is not sold.
Photos and screenshots
Uploaded images are stored privately and are used only to help understand the job. Avoid uploading passwords, one-time codes, bank details, identity documents or anything unrelated to the tech problem.
Services used
HomeITFix uses trusted service providers including Supabase for application data, Vercel for hosting and a licensed payment provider for payments. Email delivery may be handled through a transactional email provider.
Access and deletion
Correction or deletion requests can be made through the contact page where legally available. Some transaction records may need to be retained for accounting, fraud prevention or dispute handling.
